Campbellsville Baptist Temple was started almost sixty years ago
with believers dedicated to the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ and having a burden for a fundamental baptist church in this community.
The church began meeting in a storefront. Later the church met in a rented facility outside of Campbellsville. The body of believers outgrew the small facility and began to ask God to give them some land. God answered their prayers in a miraculous way when a friend of the church gave the church ten acres of land on what is now the north bypass. The present building was then built.
The church now continues to preach the gospel of Christ, reaching the community with the good news.Campbellsville Baptist Temple is an independent, fundamental Baptist church, using the King James Bible and singing the old fashioned hymns.
